Who we are
The Late Shri Mallai Atram Bahuddeshiva sanstha, Allapalli Dist. Gadchiroli established Swa. Laxmibai arts, science and Commerce womens college, Allapalli Dist. Gadchiroli since 15th June 2012 when there was not a single institution of science and arts faculty available for womens in the vicinity. Institute is affiliated to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, and is located in the tribal and socio-economically deprived region of the Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra. Most of the students come from nearby tribal villages and from socially, economically and academically backward background. Our visionary Honorable Mr. Deepak Mallaii Atram Ex- Member of Legislative Assembly and President of Late Shri Mallaji Atram Bahuddeshiya sanstha Allapalli established institute at this tribal and rural region to create awareness among the womens students to meetthe need of overall development through education. This proved to be a landmark in the development of womens education of this region.
The institution offered two UG courses Art and Science. The Science faculty is granted section in English medium and Arts are granted section in Marathi medium. The main objective of the institution is to achieve and maintain excellence in student performance with respect to grades, discipline, extra-curricular activities and social work.
The institution's NSS and Cultural departments plays important role in the social awareness. The curriculum is based on enhancing and empowering the knowledge base, recent trends in scientific and cognitive fields. To inculcate the moral and patriotic values among the students, the institution exercises the practice of national anthem followed national Pledge.
The institution has well-constructed building, huge playground, library is enriched with 1056 books including reference books, text books etc. and 04 daily newspapers in different languages for students to promotes their general knowledge to face competitive examinations. The institution has a team of highly qualified young & long-standing experienced teaching staff with NET-JRF, SET, and Ph. D. degrees. The Academic session 2022-23 is with 237 students strength, Officiating Principal, 2 Permanent Teachers, 9 CHB approved teachers and 12 non-teaching staff. The administrative office of the institution is well computerized. IQAC of institution was established in the year 2019 and has been functioning for quality sustenance and enhancement.
